Cancer Care Ontario Taps Telax Hosted Call Center

Cancer Care Ontario has signed a three year contract with Telax Hosted Call Center to provide an internal help desk, Tier 1 Service Desk, and support of the Ontario Breast Screening and ColonCancerCheck programs. Telax replaces Telus in this account.

According to Mario Perez, President and founder of Telax Hosted Call Center, Cancer Care Ontario conducted an RFP process and considered both premise-based and hosted call center solutions. Perez believes that Telax is the best fit for this environment as it provides complete disaster recovery, 24×7 support and comprehensive reporting.

Cancer Care Ontario focuses on improving cancer services by directing and overseeing health care spending. The organization also runs cancer prevention programs, transforms research into clinical advancements and works with care providers to meet current and future patient needs. Perez noted that the agency is doing very important work and must have the right tools in place to get the job done.

The original RFP issued by Cancer Care Ontario highlighted the importance of a solution that was capable of handling growth and changing in light of future requirements. The Telax Hosted Call Center is designed to be a seamlessly scalable and cloud-based solution. The company positions this platform as offering the capacity for custom integration with a variety of other platforms, which allows for efficiency increases for agencies such as Cancer Care Ontario.

Based in Ontario, Canada, Telax offers hosted call center solutions based on simplicity to enable prominent public and private sector organizations to thrive in their respective industries. Telax supports such key players as Northrop Grumman, Johnson & Johnson, CI Investments, the Globalive Group of Companies and Health Canada as they strive to reduce costs and improve overall efficiency.
